The name Vicolo dei Fuggiti is inspired by one of the medieval alleys (“vicoli”) in Pistoia behind the central Piazza del Duomo and was the road where prisoners (the “fuggiti”) would flee. For me, however, the name holds many meanings for travel, movement and the pursuit of our own path in this day and age.
